The course presents doctors with knowledge and techniques that are comprehensive and easily adapted to fit their needs. The skills described in the manual represent one safe way to perform each technique, and the American College of Surgeons (ACS) recognizes that there are other acceptable approaches. Prerequisites to attend: - 18 years of age by graduation - No prior felony convictions - Obtain American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification prior to entering the hospital, clinical, or ambulance ride along experience. There will be two opportunities (dates to TBD) to take a CPR class through BPM and the fee for the CPR course will be included in your initial EMT course fee. If you do not take one these CPR classes through BPM, you are responsible for obtaining your AHA CPR certification elsewhere, or paying the fee to attend the next available BPM public class.
